“Finn Harvor can do what only the best writers can. He can create a completely convincing world. Once you’re in it, you want to stay in it.”

-- Ian Brown, host of CBC’s Talking Books and author of The Boy in the Moon and Man Overboard.

“A writer to watch out for.”

-- Denise Roig, the Montreal Gazette.

About myself: I'm a writer and artist living in South Korea. As an artist, I've had two solo shows, been involved in several group shows, and published visual art in several underground and mainstream publications, such as MIND THEATRE, FOD, THE GLOBE AND MAIL, and THE TORONTO STAR. As a writer, my work has appeared in THE BROOKLYN RAIL, THE KOREA TIMES, RABBLE, THIS MAGAZINE, THE CANADIAN FORUM, PRISM, THE QUARTERLY CONVERSATION and elsewhere. I've won grants and awards from The Canada Council, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council and Hart House. I've staged two fringe plays, and my monologue "Die Happiness" was demo-videotaped by Clark Johnson, who has directed episodes of The West Wing, The Wire and Homicide, as well as "Boycott", HBO's biography of Martin Luther King. Finally, I have an online project entitled "Conversations in the Book Trade". It is a series of interviews with people involved with books, and Richard Nash of Soft Skull Press, Fred Ramey of Unbridled Books, Phil Marchand of the Toronto Star, and Scott Esposito of Conversational Reading, among many others.
